Saturday: 10.00am – 5.00pm

The Building Centre is also closed on Sundays, Bank Holidays and Easter Saturday.

The Gentleman Baristas cafe opening hours:

Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

Saturdays from 2 March 2019 - 10:00am - 3pm (reduced menu)



Guided tours

Guided tours of the New London Model are available for groups of any size. We also offer bookable curators tours of our exhibitions. To arrange a private bespoke model talk or exhibition tour, please contact Katharine Rankin.

Getting here

The Building Centre is within walking distance of several mainline railway stations: Euston (15 mins), King's Cross & St Pancras (25 mins), Charing Cross (23 mins).

Nearest underground stations are Goodge Street (Northern Line) Tottenham Court Road (Northern and Central Lines*), Euston Square (Circle, District and Metropolitan Lines) and Russell Square (Piccadilly Line). 

The Building Centre is well served by bus routes from all directions. Visit Transport for London for the best route.

There is a cycle hire station immediately opposite The Building Centre on Alfred Place and limited unsheltered bicycle parking is available in Store Street. Visitors using folding bicycles can store them inside. 

Store Street is a one-way street accessed from Tottenham Court Road - itself a one-way street running south to north. Visitors can be dropped off at the front door of the Building Centre and limited metered street parking is available in adjacent streets with several NCP car parks nearby. Store Street is in the Congestion Charge Zone.

Facilities and access

The NLA galleries and all other exhibitions at The Building Centre are free to enter. The building also has a café by The Gentlemen Baristas, public toilets and disabled access throughout. NLA publications are available to buy online and at the café.

The City Centre

The City Centre is run by New London Architecture on behalf of the City of London Corporation.

The City Centre is the place to come to learn all about the Square Mile - the unsurpassed heritage of its built environment; its present offer as a world class financial and business centre; its unique collection of cultural institutions and its exciting future as a vibrant, forward-looking place.

The City Centre is also home to 1:500 scale model of the City of London. The model lights up and includes all buildings under development that have current planning permission, giving a glimpse at the City's future skyline.
