PLANNING

Supporting a growing city that works for all Londoners

The Big Debate - London Plan © Agnese Sanvito

NLA’s Planning programme looks at the rapidly changing shape of London through examining spatial and strategic plans at a local as well as London-wide level. How is London planning for the large levels of predicted population growth? Where is development most needed in the capital? Where should new homes, schools, transport links and offices be built? How can the community get involved in helping shape plans in their area? And how should the regeneration of existing areas be best managed?

Key themes

  • Planning for London’s growth
  •  Public sector land
  • Viability
  • Regeneration and strategic areas of growth
  • Green Belt
  • Communicating with Londoners
