The evening will bring together the built environment’s younger talent with more established professionals for a night of encouragement and inspiration, giving you the opportunity to discuss a particular challenge or seek career advice — both men and women are welcome!

Expert mentors will be on hand to discuss any questions, issues or challenges you may have regarding career development, with mentees spending 10 minutes each with professionals working across the industry.

The event forms part of NLA’s year-round Inspiring Women programme, which seeks to encourage discussion around key issues around how to attract and retain women in their career, and celebrate, promote and profile women working across the built environment industry to inspire others and provide opportunities to network and further develop skills.

INSPIRING WOMEN

NLQ

NLA’s Inspiring Women programme celebrates, promotes and profiles women working across the built environment industry, to inspire others and provide opportunities to meet, network and further develop skills. The built environment industry, alongside many others, is striving to overcome women’s chronic underrepresentation and lower pay to create a strengthened, resilient workforce. This year-round programme encourages discussion around key issues around how to attract and retain women early in their career, midway through and at more senior levels. What are the different issues that architects, engineers, developers, planners and related professions face across their career and what can be done to accommodate women?
