Retail is in a time of flux. With growing rents, online retailing, and an emphasis on experiential visits rather than standard shop floors, London’s retail community is working hard to meet customer’s needs. But how is the sector evolving to work smarter, harder and remain competitive? What is the future for our high streets and shopping centres?

This lively exchange of ideas will showcase innovative projects, strategies and technologies that seek to improve and safeguard retail provision around the capital.
The format, PechaKucha (ペチャクチャ), was devised in Tokyo in 2003 by the English architect Mark Dytham and has turned into a massive global celebration of design, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world. Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds. The format makes presentations concise, keeps things moving at a rapid pace and holds its audience.

For ten years we have tracked the data of no shows at our events. So that we don’t deny places to those who really want to attend we do overbook events based on our experience. Our calculations are usually pretty accurate but sometimes we do have to turn away late comers.
