The housing shortage is one of the biggest crises facing this generation. Compact living is a lifestyle choice for those who prioritise a central location over space, and it is already an important part of the mix in global cities like New York, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
Two to-scale and fully functioning units, designed by architects The Manser Practice (24sqm) and Ab Rogers (19sqm) have been built at U+I’s London headquarters to illustrate how well-designed compact flats may be one solution to the housing crisis.
Join us for an NLA Study Tour to see the flats first-hand and hear from the project team with a networking breakfast on Tuesday 10 July, 08.30-09.45.
This is the first in a new series of NLA Study Tours which will allow NLA members access to the most exciting and innovative new schemes in London.
Hosted at U+I with Ab Rogers Design and The Manser Practice
Jonathan Manser, CEO, The Manser Practice
Ab Rogers, Founder, Ab Rogers Design
Debbie Whitfield, Deputy Chair, NLA

For ten years we have tracked the data of no shows at our events. So that we don’t deny places to those who really want to attend we do overbook events based on our experience. Our calculations are usually pretty accurate but sometimes we do have to turn away late comers.
