As London prepares for the opening of the Elizabeth Line, NLA brings together those who have been working to reconfigure the capital’s urban realm and utilising this major infrastructure project to improve London’s pedestrian routes and public spaces.
Taking London’s West End as a key exemplar of how much change is taking shape, we look at how Crossrail has impacted the way we move around above ground. What improvements are still to come? Are we prepared for the increase in footfall in central London areas? What are the lessons learnt for Crossrail 2?
