Changing demands from international visitors and a potential increase in domestic ‘staycations’ are forcing London’s hotel sector to respond to future-proof its supply.

Over 7,000 new rooms are set to open in London in 2018, with a large proportion branded as ‘budget’. With rising trends in short-term apartment letting and Airbnb, how can the sector ensure the hotel remains an affordable and attractive option? What role can outer London’s town centres play in accommodating visitors to London? How can hotels adapt and flex to become part of the community, offering services and facilities for local residents as well as visitors?

In this free breakfast talk, we showcase innovative hotel projects across the capital, exploring how the hotel sector can respond with creative design to produce sustainable and profitable schemes.
