Debbie was part of the team that launched New London Architecture in 2005 alongside Peter Murray and Nick McKeogh, becoming its first Director in 2010.

She has played a key role in establishing the centre as the focus for debate about the future shape of the capital over the last decade, overseeing the development of its programme of exhibitions, events and research, building its management and membership structure, and establishing new initiatives including the New London Awards and Don’t Move Improve! In 2017 she was made Deputy Chair of NLA and an Executive Director of Pipers, with responsibility for overseeing the strategic direction of both NLA and The City Centre, a public facility which is home to the City of London Corporation’s official architectural model. She curated the West End hubs of the London Festival of Architecture in 2008 and 2010, has led on a number of temporary public realm interventions across the city, including The Skywalk by Carmody Groarke, and is co-founder of londonarchitecturdiary.com.
