NLA are excited to announce our recent joining of the Knowledge Quarter.
Knowledge Quarter is a consortium of partner organisations with one thing in common – they are all within a one-mile radius of King’s Cross and are actively engaged in the advancement and dissemination of knowledge.
Within a few hundred metres of NLA you can find knowledge resources ranging from the world’s earliest books and manuscripts to the latest fashion and creative designs and cutting-edge medical research.
Other Knowledge Quarter partners include 75 academic, cultural, research, scientific and media organisations large and small: from the British Library and University of the Arts London to the School of Life, Connected Digital Economy Catapult and Aga Khan University.
Our most recent research Knowledge Capital worked closely with the Knowledge Quarter to examine the expanding role of innovation and research hubs in driving innovation and growth.
The NLA’s programme of over 150 events a year, regular changing exhibitions and published research examines all the key issues affecting the future shape of the city – from delivery of housing to infrastructure, public spaces and workplaces. Speakers and contributors are drawn from all sectors of the built environment, academic institutions, businesses and community organisations.
We will work to support Knowledge Quarter partners to engage in conversations about the changing shape of the city, and aid local dialogues on the changing physical shape of this key area of London.
