Investing in Southwark

Delegates from across the planning, development and investment industries gathered at Tate Modern today for a full day NLA 'on location' event in Southwark.

Speakers including Cllr Peter John, Leader of Southwark Council, Mark Boyes, Project Director at Lend Lease, James Sellar, CEO of Sellar, Nigel Webb, Head of Developments for British Land, Rupert Robinson, Head of Regeneration for KPMG and Graham Morrison, Partner at Allies and Morrison discussed the planning strategy, as well as current and future development opportunities within the borough, including at Elephant and Castle, London Bridge, Canada Water and Peckham and Camberwell.

Delegates were then taken on guided study tours to see the development progress and opportunities first hand at London Bridge and Bankside, Elephant and Castle and Canada Water, led by Southwark council representatives and the relevant developers, architects and occupiers where appropriate. The event concluded with drinks at Butler's Wharf, hosted by Sir Terence Conran.
