NLA is based at The Building Centre in central London – an organisation established in 1931 to promote innovation in the built environment and now home to many companies related to the building industry.
The NLA galleries – based on the ground floor of the building – tell the story of London’s development through both permanent and regularly-changing exhibitions, including our giant scale model of central London. Bi-annual NLA-curated shows tackle major issues from housing to infrastructure. We also host many of our events in the building.
The galleries are open, free of charge, six days a week, and receive over 10,000 visitors each month from London, the UK and abroad. Find out more about the building’s facilities, upcoming exhibition programme, or space hire for exhibitions and events.
Guided tours of the New London Model are available for groups of any size. We also offer bookable curators tours of our exhibitions. To arrange a private bespoke model talk or exhibition tour, please contact Molly Nicholson.
